Summary

 As a System/Software Developer you will work with development of new features and solutions for Tilgin Home Gateway product portfolio. The position offers a wide range of possibilities to work with studies of new features, manage small projects and everything from programming low level Linux drivers to high level applications in the smart home and IoT segment, for various protocols and HW interfaces, often in complex network scenarios in combination with customer specific requirements.

The Team has total responsibility for the Home Gateway Software that is also offered as a software development kit for partners to contribute with additional values in a total solution. That means development for Linux drivers, Network functionality, Remote Management (TR-069), VoIP application and WebUI. Other responsibilities are interoperable tests, maintenance and integration at customer sites. The development is mainly in C/C++ in Linux environment. Product development normally runs in project form.

 Experience

To be successful in this role you should have few years of experience of programming in C/C++ in preferably Embedded systems with real time requirements. Linux is used as operating system, hence it is mandatory requirement. You have also experience of Pre-studies and Feasibility studies. Working experience from routers, network operators in the telecommunication field, SIP, network protocols, IoT and smart home protocols, TR-069, WebUI Usability, various access technologies like Fiber, Ethernet, 3G/LTE, xDSL, 802.11b/g/n/ac and USB is highly qualifying.

Desired skills

The candidate should have good documentation and communication skills. Good knowledge in C/C++ and Linux is required. You should be self-contained, dedicated and enjoy working in a dynamic environment. Be able to take initiatives or full responsibility in planning, investigations and system design; to make sure they fulfill requirements and customer expectations. You should love technical challenges and working with the latest technologies.

Tilgin works in a multicultural environment so the candidate must be able to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. We think that you have a Bachelor or Master degree in computer engineering or similar.

Location

This is a permanent position at our office in Kista, Stockholm, Sweden. Travelling is required.
